A história por trás das nossas trelas e coleiras de cortiça Quercus

The story behind our Quercus cork leashes and collars

For a long time, we said that we would only launch a collar when we found something that really made sense for Pajé.

Because creating yet another product was never the goal.

If it were just a matter of making "another collar" or "another leash," we probably would have launched them a long time ago.

But anyone who follows Pajé knows that we like to do things with intention.

And that is exactly what happened with our new collection of cork leashes and collars.

An idea that took time to take shape

The truth is that this collection began long before any product existed.

It started with a question:

"How can we create a collar that is beautiful, comfortable, durable, and represents what we believe in?"

Over the years, we analyzed different materials, suppliers, and possibilities.

We wanted something that would be durable for everyday use, comfortable for dogs, elegant for owners, and, at the same time, aligned with the brand's values.

It was not a quick process.

But perhaps that is why the result has such a special meaning for us.

Why cork?

When we think of sustainable materials produced in Portugal, one name comes up almost immediately: cork.

Portugal is recognized worldwide for the quality of its cork, and for a long time, this was a resource used mainly in fashion and decoration.

But we saw a different opportunity there.

Cork allows for the creation of accessories that are lightweight, resistant, comfortable to the touch, and have a very distinct appearance.

Each piece has its own personality.

And that fits perfectly with what we believe in: products made with care, far from mass production.

More than just a dog collar

When someone looks for a dog collar, they are usually looking for safety.

When they look for a dog leash, they are looking for control and comfort during walks.

And of course, all of that remains important.

But we believe that the accessories we use every day also tell a story.

The story of walks at the end of the day.

Of weekend adventures.

Of travels.

Of the simple moments we end up keeping forever.

Because, deep down, collars and leashes accompany our dogs on almost every experience we have together.

A collection designed to last. And that is how our Quercus Collection was born.

From the beginning, we knew we didn't want to create a disposable product.

We wanted to develop dog accessories that could accompany many hikes, many walks, and many memories.

That is why we sought to balance functionality, comfort, and aesthetics.

The result is a minimalist, elegant, and timeless collection.

Without excess.

Without fleeting trends.

Just pieces designed to be used every day.

Proudly produced in Portugal

There is something that remains very important to us: valuing national production.

Whenever possible, we seek to work with Portuguese partners and invest in materials that are part of our identity.

Cork represents exactly that.

It is a material deeply connected to Portuguese history and tradition, yet it continues to show a huge capacity for innovation.

And we like the idea of taking a little bit of Portugal on every walk.

They have finally arrived

After months of development, testing, adjustments, and many decisions along the way, our cork leashes and collars are finally available.

And perhaps the most special thing is this:

They are not just a new product.

They are the result of a long process, thought out and built with the same philosophy that has accompanied Pajé since day one.

Creating pieces that make sense.

For dogs.

For owners.

And for the life we share with them.
